As some of you may know, I was involved in the making of the upcoming animated / live-action film "Osmosis Jones" for about a year and a half. I did a lot of conceptual designs, I was the artistic 2D effects supervisor and I also created the title sequence for the film (with the help and expertise of Ryan Woodward). Last year the producers of the film asked me to come up with some teaser posters for a proposal to the marketing department. The posters were rejected but I still think they were pretty good. If you want to have a look at what I came up with, click here.

I will be posting some more of my work from that film in the future although most of it will have to wait until the release of the film, for obvious reason.

Also don't forget, if you are at the Los Angeles Festival of Books this weekend, make sure you stop by the Golden Apple booth and say hi. See previous post for details.

Every year the Comic-Con invites artists to submit drawings for the Souvenir Book. This year they had six themes to choose from. I thought I'd give it a shot and chose The 40th Anniversary of the Fantastic Four. If you want to take a peek at my take on Marvel Comics' first family, click here.

...and if you wonder where Sue Richard is... well, she's invisible!

I will be signing the first issue of Zed (as well as all my other books) at the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books on April 28 and 29. I will be at the Golden Apple Comics booth on Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Then, on Sunday, from 10:30am to 11:00am, I will be part of an open air presentation on "How to do comics" hosted by Bill Liebowitz. After that, I will be signing in the Wilson area from 11:00 til 12:00 and then back to the Golden Apple booth til 4:00! Sounds exhausting... doesn't it.

I'm having 200 copies of Zed issue #1 shipped early especially for the show. So come by and get your copy of Zed before everyone else! For schedule details visit Golden Apple web site.

Also you might want to check out the Gallery. I have completely updated the Collage and Ink Illustrations with new larger images and an improved browser system. Let me know what you think.

There has been several people asking me how I started publishing my own books. My answer is pretty simple. I bought a book called The Self Publishing Manual by Dave Poynter. If you are interested in getting your books out without going through a publisher, this is the one to get. All the information you need is in there.

Retailers, we just added FM International to our list of distributors carrying Insanely Twisted Rabbits. The book is also available through Diamond Comics and Last Gasp. If your store doesn't carry it, you are missing a very hot item.

I just finished some conceptual FX animation/design on the live action Scoobi Doo movie. I am back full gear on Zed issue two, which I want to have ready for the San Diego Comic-Con in July. Make sure you visit our booth if you're attending!

Hi there. I added a few pages today. Under the books page, if you click on the book covers, you can now view interior illustrations. The link used to go directly to amazon.com. I though it would be more interesting to show samples of the inside. You can still go to the book site on amazon.com by clicking on the titles.

The Tattoos and Filmworks pages are also up. There is still a lot more to come so keep on checking up every week or so.

Zed issue 1 left for the printer last week. The proofs will be back any day now, which means that the comic book will be available in L.A. at the end of April and internationaly around July. Bill Liebowitz, owner of Golden Apple asked me to do a signing at their booth for The Festival of Books on April 28th. The yearly event takes place at UCLA. More details later.
